Hi I'm Chad

I'm a student. I speak Bulgarian. I'm a proud Canadian. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm the middle of 3 kids (I have an older sister and a younger sister). I love my family! I'm from Ontario, Canada and I love my country. At school growing up we spent half the day speaking French and half the day speaking English. I'm a student, majoring in accounting and minoring in Slavic and Eastern European languages (right now I'm learning Russian). I served a 2 years on a volunteer mission for the church in Bulgaria (and now incidentally I speak Bulgarian). I like to play curling and I used to play the French horn and trombone. I also enjoy playing the piano, reading, and spending time in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon and during high school I mostly lived the way I had been taught growing up, but I didn't really understand why I was living that way. I was just going through the motions, and I wasn't doing everything I had been taught and I felt very hypocritical sometimes. That year in our seminary (scripture study) program we were studying the New Testament and I decided to actually read it through. It was during this study of the scripture that I came to know that Jesus Christ lives, that He loves me, and that He is my Saviour. This knowledge came at a cross-roads in my life when I had to decide whether I should continue on the path I was going down, or whether I should change my life and actually start living those things that I had been taught as a child. I knew that Jesus was my Saviour and so I knew His church must be on the earth. I got on my knees and prayed, and I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was Christ's church. I decided to put my life in line with the principles I had been taught, and I know today like I knew then that my Redeemer lives, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on the earth, and that He is at the head of the church.

How I live my faith

I am currently a pianist in my ward, music has always been a big part of my life and I'm glad that I can share my talent with the people here. Another way I live my faith is by relying upon the grace of Jesus Christ every day, it is only through this enabling power that I can overcome my weaknesses and imperfections.
