Hi I'm Christine Taylor

I grew up in Utah. I love to play sports and be around new people. I'm serving a mission in New Jersey! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and abosolutely loved it. I have loved playing and watching sports ever since I was little. I started playing soccer at the age of 4 and picked up basketball around 12. I love playing all other sports. I continued on with those particular sports in high school. I wanted to continue on and play basketball so I went to a community college in Taft, California. Taft Community College. It was the time of my life. The relationships and friends I made down there have been incredible. I love playing basketball and being able to see what it was like not living in Utah. After the two years I returned back to Utah and then decided to serve a mission for the Church. That decision was the best decision I've made so far in my life. The things I've learned so far and my testimony has grown so much and I can't wait to strengthen that even more!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it is how I want to live my life. I want to be the best follower of Christ I can be and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is where I find that. Growing up I followed my parents testimony and didn't know for myself the things that I was learning were true. As I grew up and wanted to become closer to my Savior, I started studying more and learning more about the church. I've come to realize on my mission that this is the true church. And it's by those small and simple things, I've realized that. By reading my scriptures, praying to God everyday and going to church, I found happiness. I love reading the Book of Mormon and know it's the word of God. I know God really does answer our prayers and we can talk to Him whenever we want. He's always listening. I know by worthily partaking of the sacrament every week we can be renewed of our sins and become more like the Savior. I know Jesus Christ lives and he atoned for my sins and well as the sins of every body that has lived or will live. I'm so grateful for this knowledge and want to share it with everyone. God loves everyone because we are all his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting an example to those around me. There's many people I come in contact with every day, whether they know I'm a mormon or not, that I want to set an example of righteousness for them. I love serving and that's why I'm on a mission right now. I want to serve my fellow men and see the change that I have seen in myself. Being able to help people come closer to Christ is the greatest blessing anyone can have. And I get to do that for a year in a half. I'm serving as a missionary in New Jersey!
