Hi I'm John Gaskill

I was born in Kennewick, Washington but grew up in a Aurora, Illinois and now my family lives in Colorado Springs

About Me

I'm the oldest of 4, about to be 5 siblings. My family is one of the biggest influences on me in my life and the mean the world to me. I'm an athlete and an adventurist. I've played soccer since I was 4 and since then have picked up tennis and volleyball on the side. I love doing anything active and being outside as much as I can. I love being around other people and trying to brighten each day for those around me. I studied 2 years of finance at BYU before leaving to serve a mission in Sacramento, California

Why I am a Mormon

I've been fortunate enough to have the blessings of the gospel in my life since the day I was born. Growing up in the church it's been the only religion I've knowing. In recent years, I've done a lot of work to be able to know for myself that I'm here in this church for me and not just my family is. I know the fullness of the gospel has been restored to the Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith and that His one and only true church is upon the Earth today and I have the blessing of representing that church as a missionary. In the world we live in today it's more important than ever to refocus on the things that matter most and not fall into the ways of the world. Through a prophet and the blessings of the Restored Gospel I can be safe, happy, and secure in the chaotic world in which we live.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a full-time missionary preaching the gospel in the Spanish language in Sacramento, California. I love giving two years of my life to the Lord and bringing the blessings of the gospel that I've seen in my life to others around me.
