Hi I'm Joselyn

I'm a student from Panama... a wonderful country. I love making new friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Joselyn, but people call me Josy. I'm from Panama. An exotic and warm place. I really love reading, writing, singing, cooking, traveling, playing some sports... and on. Also I love studying the scriptures of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I like to do many stuff, but especially I enjoy learning different things. I'm finishing my bachelor degree, I'm single but I hope to have a great family. I have worked with autistic children and I was volunteer in a organization that helps children with cancer. Help these children make me see how beautiful is the world when you are near to God. I love to spend time with people from different cultures, here in Panama you can find people from diverse places. I'm learning Portuguese, I speak Spanish and well, this is me in few words!

Why I am a Mormon

One of my best friends is Mormon, he told me about the church and His gospel. He had to go to the mission in Texas, so I lost interest a bit but I looked for information about it. At that time I never thought that I could be a member, but something inside of me, like a soft voice, was telling me to do the correct. When he came back he taught me things I needed to know. Then I met with the elders. My parents didn't support me, that was the most painful. For them, I was an strange person... Some friends teased me. But I really asked to God and Now I know this gospel is love, this gospel is true. It was a decision that changed my life. My parents see my new change, (they love it :P) my friends respect me... I know my propose in this world, I now that God loves us. I feel like a princess, a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I have to say that I'm a newest member, I knew the gospel one year ago but I recently baptized. In spite of that I am in the choir of the church and I received a calling related to the Ensign Magazine. I participate in every event and I'm a visiting teacher. I really love this, but I live it too.

Are Mormons Christians?

Joselyn
Mormons are Christians, as its official name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, suggests. It is true that Mormons are not considered Protestant, for not protesting against the Catholic Church. The LDS faith in Christ is based on his life in the New Testament. We also believe that after his death and resurrection in Israel, the glorified Christ visited people who lived in the ancient Americas. We believe in Jesus Christ as our leader and our savior. All of us pray in his name, He gives us the opportunity to look at the world and see that our sins can be redeemed through him for eternal life and reach the glory of the Father. He is the keystone of our faith and our holy church. Show more Show less
