Hi I'm David

I'm from California, I love music, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love music. I play piano, violin, and guitar. Clean, wholesome music motivates me to do greater things and inspires me to follow Jesus Christ. I always like to get groups together to play soccer, basketball—you name it. Jesus is my inspiration and I have a testimony that He lives!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God. I know that following God will bring me true happiness. I know that it is true because I feel it by the power of the Holy Ghost as I study the scriptures, pray, hear the testimonies of others, and (most importantly) live it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by following Jesus Christ. When I see that someone is having a hard time—physically, emotionally, spiritually—I try my hardest to help them. However, the greatest way that I want to help people is by helping them to find out for themselves more about the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why I have decided to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

David
Please do not be afraid to come—I promise you will never regret it if you sincerely desire to be uplifted. The church service is a peaceful, spiritual meeting where you will feel uplifted and instructed by God. Generally, a few of the members of the congregation will speak at each meeting. The sacrament will also be given to the congregation at the meeting. The best advice I can give you is to bring a question you have to sacrament meeting and be ready for the answer. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

David
No, we believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet (similar to Noah, Abraham, or Moses). We only worship God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
