Hi I'm Mindy Stroud

I am a native Texan. I love to play sports and sing country music. I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I love to live life and try new things- everyday can be an adventure! I like country dancing, country music, and acoustic guitars. I like to cook and experiment with different recipes aka- I love food! I also love to be outdoors and soak up the sunshine. I play tennis and enjoy many other sports and I'm a college student. I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints assigned to the area of Des Moines, Iowa; Spanish language!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 8 years old. I knew at the time I was making an important decision and it has been a part of me ever since. I chose to be a member of the church because I knew that it meant I would have great joy and peace in my life. Throughout all trials and seasons of my life, my Savior has always been there to help me; his hand outstretched. I have read the Book of Mormon to know what it contains and I know that it is the word of God. The accounts and Christ's loving invitation to all men has given me strength through my life. I am so grateful to have the Bible and The Book of Mormon which testify of these things and show all men the way. Christ died for me and for all mankind and that is written deep in my heart. It is my purpose for life and serving my mission. I have received immense joy through living this gospel and always learning more. I pray to know God's will for me; my individual purpose in life. He has always answered my prayers and I feel a deep peace in my soul because He loves me. I am fully confident all will receive such a witness and come to know their Savior more deeply through prayer and sincerely reading the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Christ's example and serve those around me. I decided to be more dedicated and serve the Lord by becoming a full-time missionary for His church for 18 months of my life. I have always been involved in church and have served as a teacher for women of my own age at college. I have also served in compassionate service positions which gave me an added responsibility to care for and help those in need; uplift the spirits of all in my church unit. I have always enjoyed serving in my home communities and being involved in activities that strengthen others and myself. Currently, I am a missionary and my sole purpose is to help others come unto Christ by sharing the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and His purposes for our lives. I could not fulfill this calling without a true love for my Savior and a love for those around me. I study the words of Christ and prophets, study the Spanish language to teach, and focus my energy on sharing what I am privileged to know with all who will listen to this message.
