Hi I'm Julie

I'm a small town West Virginia girl who loves to sing, laugh, compete, and front porch sit. I love a simple life.. and cats.

About Me

Singing is my passion. I also love to dance. I'm a basketball player. I loved high school. I'm a goofball. I'm a college student. I'm a daughter and sister of 5 other siblings. I'm a friend, and love feeling like I can make someone feel better. I'm a sports fanatic and am super competitive; I love a good challenge. I can be a grump in the mornings. My friends and family laugh at me because I absolutely LOVE cats! I love me some Reds Baseball. I am the person who laughs at everything- even when it's not funny. Mountaineer sports is what I was raised on. I adore my nieces and nephews. I have a huge and loud extended family that I love. I am obsessed with keeping my teeth clean, being happy, and you usually won't find me without a smile on my face. I'm such a screw-up 95% of the time. I can be really impatient.. especially driving my car. On that note, I'm a failure at keeping my car clean. I think awkward situations are hilarious. I am a lot of things, but what brings me the most lasting joy is I'm a believer. I am a believer in Jesus Christ. He is my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the relationship I have gained with my Savior, Jesus Christ. In times when I feel like I have no where else to turn, this gospel has given me the peace, pure lasting joy, and hope that I need. This world is always changing, and handing us things that are temporary. Things that may bring happiness for a moment, but none of it lasts. I'm a Mormon because it is the one constant in my life. It doesn't change when the world does, and it has given me direction and a lasting peace. I have a real relationship with my Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ, and the more I learn the more happiness it brings me. I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I am the Latter-Day Saint Student Association President here at college and have fun helping plan activities we hold. I also help the missionaries in this area plan fun things the students participate in. I love visiting my friends within the ward (a ward is a local congregation) and seeing how I can help them in any way. I've come to love service! I am ecstatic and getting ready to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
