Hi I'm Jordan

I live in Alberta, Canada. I love to play sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play all kind of sports including Basketball, Baseball and Football. I enjoy being part of a team and love to compete. I'm 18 years old and have just graduated from high school and have received my mission call to serve in the Lyon France mission! I am very excited to serve the lord and his children as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the LDS church and because of this, I was taught from a very young age how to pray, the importance of scriptures and the importance of living the standards God has set for us to follow. I know that Heavenly Father knows me and wants the best for me. I have found that as I seek both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in my life, that through the spirit They comfort, strengthen and uplift me and make me a better person. I continue to live the standards of the church so I can feel of Gods love for me as I strive to be what He wants me to become. I know that if I can continue to learn and grow in the ways of God that He does and will continue to bless me with the Holy Ghost in my life so He can teach, encourage and inspire me to be all that He intended me to become. I know that through the priesthood, ordinances such as baptismal and temple ordinances can be preformed and that through these ordinances I am able to return to live with my Heavenly Father one day with my own Eternal Family. I know that God speaks to us by the Holy Ghost and through His prophet. I know He loves all His children and wants them to follow Him and seek His help and guidance through prayer. God is real. Jesus Christ did come to earth to atone for our sins and to make up for all our shortcomings to make it possible for us to live once again with our loving Heavenly Father. Through Christ's church here on this earth I have the knowledge that God loves me and wants me to follow him. I have the opportunity to learn of Christ and to follow His example so I can be worthy of all the blessing God has in store for me.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the church and have had many callings as a young man. I was baptized when I was eight by my father, and strive to live the standards of the church. By living the standards set by the church I am able to hold and exercise the power of the priesthood each Sunday by blessing the sacrament as a priest in the Aaronic priesthood. I have families that I home teach every month and are able to serve them and teach them in their home as I visit them.Through the youth programs in the church, we find ways to serve and help others who need assistance. Often service projects are planned through the ward to assist those who need it. I enjoy serving and helping others any way I can. I am currently preparing to serve as a missionary in the Lyon France mission.

In whom should we have faith?

The First principle of the gospel is Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We should have faith in him. Faith is more than a believe but is a means upon which we act upon. We must first develop faith, then act on our faith and become true followers of Jesus Christ. We must have Faith in His Atonement and that it works. We must have faith and act upon our faith and use the atonement to improve our lives. Faith is just the beginning to our acts. When we have faith we have a belief that God will provide for us and will prepare a way for us to continue in righteousness. Faith is what we base our actions on. Faith in Jesus Christ is essential and very important. If we put our faith and trust in Him and is atonement we will find eternal happiness. Show more Show less
