Hi I'm Andrew Sheridan

Adventure Seeker. Wannabe Musician. Computer Scientist In Training. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy volleyball and video games, playing music and making friends. I am twenty-two years old. I graduated high school in 2011 from Pleasant Grove High. I love the little things: A good book in a quiet place, long conversations with best friends, flying kites on the beach, inventing new pancake flavors, or discovering my next favorite song. I believe that God gives us trials to make us stronger. I study Computer Science at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. I served a two-year Spanish speaking mission in Roseville, California. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have experienced the joy that can come from this church. Those who understand the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints know why they are here on Earth, and what to do to obtain happiness throughout this life and the life to come. Because of my faith, I am happy, and this happiness can be experienced by anyone. I know that God has a plan for me, and I will do all I can to make it happen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be become better every day, and by serving others. At Utah State University, I served as a teacher for other young men my age. Teachers and leaders in the church are all volunteers. We receive "callings", or service opportunities, from our leaders, to which we can accept or decline. I am currently a missionary for the church, serving full-time, and I love it.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Andrew Sheridan
Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ pay for their own opportunity to serve. Devoting two years to inviting others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the restored Gospel, can be difficult. However, all those who spend this time in service of others return to say it was "The best two years of their life." Show more Show less
