Hi I'm Lizzy

I am from Texas and college graduate. I am an administrator but more importantly, I am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University. I am working as an administrator and bookkeeper. I am a wife and stay-at-home mom. I love sports, playing sports and watching sports. I am blessed to spend my days with my daughter and playing with her. My husband and I love to be outside hiking or camping. We enjoy staying active, especially with our 1 year old Lab/Great Dane puppy. I love beautifying my home with crafts and scrapbooking. I love to be with my family and build lasting memories.

Why I am a Mormon

I was given the blessing of being raised a member of the church, as both of my parents are members. Many of my family members, including my mom, converted to the Gospel and have paved the way for me to have this precious gift my whole life. I have always had a strong belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ because I know it is true. I have never had to depend on the word or testimony of others, because I have studied and prayed to know for myself. I am Mormon because I know this is the only true path of happiness. Living the Gospel isn't easy or convenient but I know and I have felt the blessings from my Heavenly Father when I live His commandments. I am Mormon because I have a personal and deep relationship with my Savior and each day I strive to live as He would have me live and follow in His footsteps. I am Mormon because I want the happiness and blessings of living the Gospel for my family. I know that through the one and true plan of our Heavenly Father, my family can be together. I am Mormon because I can live a happier, healthier and cleaner life when I follow the Gospel and covenants I have made.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in church by working with the children. My heart has always belonged with children and I love to see their precious spirits and help them grow close to their Heavenly Father and Savior. I have taught several different age groups of children and each group has amazed me with their pure faith. I have also served with the youth, specifically with the young women. I love to see how the youth hold true to their standards and morality in a world with shifting standards. I am currently working with the women at church and helping them to strengthen their homes and families. It is amazing to see the influence women have in their homes and communities, and I love being able to help them strengthen their testimony of their divine nature and potential to do great things. I love serving in the church and I always feel like I am more blessed than I am ever able to bless others.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being Mormon is about giving up yourself to serve your family, church and fellowman. It is about realizing all that you have is from Heavenly Father and being willing to align your will with His will. The Gospel is about happiness and joy in living the principles outlined in the scriptures and following the one and true Prophet that lives on the earth today. Being Mormon means personal prayer, scripture study and attending church to help strengthen and grow your faith and testimony. It is about progression, not perfection. It also means that you help and support your family to grow and become more like our Savior. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The Temple is the most sacred and holy place we have on this earth. The covenants and ordinances performed in the Temple require preparation and readiness to live a higher standard, and not everyone person and member are ready to receive the higher level of learning. The covenants are made to bind families together forever and help us return to God. The ordinances in the Temple, such as baptism, are performed for those who are dead so that they may have the opportunity to receive the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Before a Temple is dedicated, visitors are welcome to come and see the Temple and walk on the sacred ground. There are over 100 operating Temples around the world and bless all who make them the center of their lives. Show more Show less
