Hi I'm Beki

I'm a soccer player. I'm a teacher. I'm a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Beki Call. I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, one of my favorite places on earth. I spent my childhood and teenage years playing competitive soccer, which was my first love in life. After my high school best friend completed a 2 year mission in South Africa, we took the next big step in our lives: marriage for time and all eternity on September 1, 2011. We have had a blast living, loving, and learning ever since then, and not a day goes by that we don't make each other laugh. I graduated with my degree in elementary education in December of 2012, and I am now following my passion to be a teacher. I am a 6th grade math, science, and PE teacher, as well as a high school girls soccer coach.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know nothing else can bring me more happiness in this world and in the world to come. I have been through my share of trials in life, and I know the only thing that has helped me through all of it is the knowledge of this gospel and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. This gospel brings me comfort, and I feel the spirit whenever I think about it. I love this gospel because it always reminds me of my ultimate goal of living with God, and having eternal joy. I choose to be a Mormon because it has helped me realize the importance of family and eternal marriage. In a world where there is so much to worry about and where everything seems to be headed on a downward spiral, I can find peace in the gospel, and know that listening to the spirit and following the prophet will keep my family and me safe. I love this church. I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I want to share it with everyone so that they can have the same joy and happiness that I have found.

How I live my faith

I know that Heavenly Father loves each of his children, and I live my faith by remembering that love with everyone I meet. I know that we have some sort of influence on everyone we come in contact with, and I do my best to always make that influence positive. I live my faith by believing in the potential that each person has to become like our Savior, and helping them achieve that potential. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us, and I live my faith by following the promptings given to me by the Holy Ghost to follow His plan for me. I love doing service for other people, and knowing that I can serve God by serving others. I know my standards and I live them. I do not drink, swear, dress immodestly, or act immorally. I do this because I love my Heavenly Father, and I know what I need to do to return to live with Him some day.
