Hi I'm Samantha

I'm a Missionary!! I'm a daughter and a sister. I'm a singer. I'm a student, and I hope to be a professor someday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent my childhood in Ohio and my adolesence in Washington. I have three little sisters and a little brother, and we don't fight... usually. My mom and dad are superb, and I'm taking notes so I'll be a great parent when I have children. I've been in several chiors including one jazz choir. I love thunderstorms, fireflies, and reading. I'm in college studying Molecular Biology, and someday I'd like to be a professor at a university. Now I'm on a mission. I LOVE it! The people here in San Diego are amazing. I love seeing people make changes in their lives to follow Jesus more! The peace and joy that comes into their lives is amazing. This is the best thing I've ever done. Days are long and hard, but it is so worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents have been Mormon for their whole life, so I've been attending church for as long as I can remember. Despite this, I like to say I am a convert because I eventually had to find out for myself if being a member of this church was really worth it. I've never really had a big moment when I just knew all of a sudden. I studied the teachings of the church and asked God to know if they were true, and I got my answer slowly but surely. By living these teachings day by day, I was able to see the blessings that came from doing so. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches true doctrine, and I cannot deny that. I know that those that accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ will find peace and joy in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week on Sunday for three hours. I have been asked to do things like teach a class of seven year olds, lead the music for meetings, visit other women in the church, speak to the congregation, and help organize and plan activities for my youth group when I was in high school. I have always happily accepted these callings, and although sometimes I do not feel qualified, I have have always known that the Lord will strengthen me when I need it. I am on a mission!! I have left everything behind, so I can serve the Lord and go share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those that I meet. I'm so excited to go to San Diego to do the Lord's will for the next 18 months.
