Hi I'm Kavan

I was born in La Habra, California. I moved to Utah when I was about 3 years old. I live in Sandy, Utah. I´m a Mormon!

About Me

My family is from Argentina, so naturally, I love soccer. I also enjoy playing basketball. I'm a die hard Utah Jazz fan, and love going to their games. I enjoy my time with my family and friends. I love hiking, camping, and anything that has to do with the great outdoors. I'm currently going to college, and I hope to do something in the medical field in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Church. I know that this truly is the same Church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth. I've come to know the truthfulness of this by reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. When I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it, I didn't feel anything, and I didn't receive any sort of answer. I tried it again. Again, nothing. Then, the 3rd time I read and prayed about it, I felt a sense of tranquility, of peace. It was something that was simple, yet I knew that it came in response to the question I had asked, and that it was from my Heavenly Father. Now, everytime I read the Book of Mormon, I feel those same feelings, and have clarity of thought. I know that this book truly is the word of God, and that the message it contains is also true. I know that no one else could have written this, or inspired man to do so, but God Himself. I love the peace that this Gospel brings me.

How I live my faith

I have served in a variety of callings within the Church. One of the best, for me, is being a home teacher with my dad. We visit members of our ward, and teach and talk to them more about the Gospel, and help them with anything they need, mostly feeling that they are loved.
