Hi I'm Soren Jorgensen

I am a missionary serving in the Rapid City, South Dakota Mission.

About Me

I am currently 19 years old, I love to stay busy by playing baseball, football, and track. I will be a aeronautical engineer. I will be attending college at the Utah Valley University and then transferring to the Embry-riddle aeronautical university after I serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I plan to be married in the Temple. I am number five out seven children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for all my life. I follow His gospel because I know its true and it has blessed my life. Using the Atonement of Christ in My life has helped me understand how important it is to involve my Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. By reading the scriptures and praying to my Father in Heaven with great diligence. I have had the spirit testify to me that this Church is true and I cannot deny it. I would like to bear my testimony, that I know that my Savior lives, that He bled and died for everyone's sins. I know He will come again. I know I am a Child of God. I know that the spirit will lead and guide me if I stay worthy of it. I know there is a true Prophet on the earth today who is led and directed by our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I was the 11 year old assistant scout leader in my ward. I served in this calling for three months. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the next 23 months. I try to share the gospel with everyone I meet which in turn makes me want to grow closer to Christ.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Soren Jorgensen
He was a young boy of fourteen who had a strong desire to find out what church was true. So as it says in James "if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God". So that's what he did he went into a grove of trees asking God to show him a sign. As he prayed both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him telling him that the fullness of the Gospel hasn't fully been brought to pass. With that vision he became the first latter day Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Restoring the fullness of the gospel to the earth. Show more Show less
