Hi I'm Johanna

I play the piano. I like to ride horses. I love being outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to help people and to learn. If i could find a job in which I could help people to learn and grow, I would do it. I love to learn too. Currently, I am a college student. Sometimes I have troubles learning because of too much homework and my crazy school schedule. I love it though. It is so exciting to learn new things and watch my horizon or understanding expand. I love my family. As a college student, I don't get to spend much time with them. When I can though, I try to go and spend time with them at plays, school events for my little siblings, and other things that I can go to an support them in. I love to play music. I play the piano. I can also play the clarinet, saxophone, organ, voice, and ocarina. I am not the best at them, but some people can recognize the tunes I play. Most of all, I like to smile and laugh. Even more though, I like to make people smile and laugh. So I make corny jokes and punch lines based on puns.

Why I am a Mormon

I love what this church teaches. It speaks to my soul. It is very rare in this world to find a group of people with high standards. I love the concept of having forever to spent with my family; to be able to be forgive and have a second chance with a clean slate; and to be a daughter of God. The gospel gets fills me with some much hope. It just fills something in me that nothing in this world can. This is why I am a Mormon or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is because it strengthens me. It gives me a quite assurance that I am loved and am worth something to someone.

How I live my faith

Each day, I live my faith by kneeling in prayer each morning and night. I follow this with about fifteen minutes of studying from the scriptures usually the Book of Mormon. I try to do this same thing before I do my homework. To me, it is my way of showing my Heavenly Father how important He is to me. Also it helps me to focus on learning and not just studying for tests. Throughout my day, I also try to think of Jesus Christ in all my actions, so I often sing or hum hymns. Once a week on Sunday, I go to my church meetings. This includes three meetings called Sacrament Meeting, Sunday School, and Relief Society. In Sacrament, the whole congregation meets together to partake of the Sacrament, to hear from our leaders, and to be lifted and edified in our efforts to be more Christ-like. Next, Sunday school is an hour where we dedicated to an deeper discussion about scripture passages. To help the teacher of these classes, we have manuals which provides quotes from our leaders present and past to avoid teaching false doctrine. The last is Relief Society. This is simply a meeting where all the females gather together to uplift one another. For the males, they go to Priesthood meetings. There are places for the children and youth too. This is part of how I live my faith.
