Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Mississippi. I'm the first person in my family to go to college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like implementing ideas, building things. I love my family. I'm married with 3 kids. I went to school for a long time before starting my real job as a doctor. Any time I can spend doing something outdoors I love to do that.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the deep south with a Christian background, and family members who were members of this Church. We didn't attend any church, but during the summer when I was a young teenager I made the decision to read the New Testament. I started attending when I was a teenager and felt strongly of the spirit. I attended church for several months before having the missionaries in our home to teach us. The influence of the spirit was so very strong at that time in my life. My sister and I joined the church at the same time. The blessings of living the gospel have always been manifest in my life.

How I live my faith

It's tough with small children and my weird schedule as a doctor to always be at church each Sunday or to participate as much as I'd like to. The good thing right now is the chance to make new friends and hopefully learn and grow spiritually as much as possible while chasing my little one around the church. We do our best to meet together as a family each week to talk about our different schedules, sing church hymns, and have a spiritual lesson and a snack together. The hardest part is making the decision to get together as a family, but once we do it, it's always worthwhile.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

For me, the fact that realizing the Universe itself is infinite and has no boundaries or end is evidence that we are more than mere mortals, and we are also eternal Show more Show less
