Hi I'm Tyler Lawson

I'm from Colorado. I'm a runner and a huge BYU sports fan. I'm serving in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend Brigham Young University and love every second of it. I'm a very devoted BYU sports fan and I go to as many games as I can. I love running and playing all sports. I enjoy math and science and love being social.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth. I have prayed and received answers that it is true. The church has blessed my life in countless ways and I have had so many wonderful experiences in being a member.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church and have a firm testimony of it's truthfulness. As a youth I have held many positions leading my peers and have spent much time leading and teaching. I am currently serving a mission for the church in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission. I love being a missionary and having the opportunity to preach the gospel to many people here in Honduras.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler Lawson
No. Not all members of the church are required to serve a mission. It is a choice given to everyone when they reach the age of 19. Young men are strongly encouraged to serve but it is entirely their decision. I chose to serve a mission because I know the church is true and I want to share it's truth with the world.
