Hi I'm Austin Hewlett

I'm studying Information Systems, I'm a Young Ambassador at Brigham Young University, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently a student studying Information Systems. I also work for a department on campus as a Web Developer. I love to play sports, especially volleyball and soccer, along with singing, dancing, and acting. I am the oldest of five in my family. I served a full-time mission in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi.

Why I am a Mormon

I know with all my heart that God lives. There was a time in my life where I was not sure of this. After months of study and prayer, I received a peaceful confirmation from God that He is there. That He is my Father in Heaven and that He has great love for me. I know that He feels this same great love for everyone. As I have gained further witnesses from God about His will and how He has restored precious truths in our day, I have received great happiness and peace in my life. Life continues to have its trials and challenges, but I feel empowered to know how to both deal with and overcome them because of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I've currently been called as a Ward Missionary in my congregation. I love this opportunity to serve and fellowship both members of our faith as well as those who are not. I currently teach the Missionary Preparation class held during our church services. I love this opportunity to learn and help others learn how to share truths the Lord has taught from the beginning of time as well as in our day. I firmly believe the teachings of Jesus Christ are not only meant to increase our spiritual knowledge, but to enhance our way of living by enabling us to becoming more like Him.
