Hi I'm Ron Thorson

I grew up in Montana. I love being a Mormon and learning and following the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Me

I joined the church in 1971 at 21 years old. Currently I am the only member in my immediate family. I have two children and three grandchildren. My occupation is software engineering which I have done since 1968. I enjoy such things as family history work, carpentry, playing golf, and yars work.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon faith has given me an opportunity to understand who I am, where did I come from and Where am I going. Knowing the answers to these important questions provides the basis of being a father, husband, and a good neighbor. When I first began attending this church and reading the book of mormon, I felt a warm feeling inside me. As I talked with the mormon missionaries, I learned this was Heavenly Father's Holy Spirit letting me know the truth. That spirit has guided me throughout my life and testified to me the truth. I testify of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. That he does live in these latter days and guides those who would follow Him through his prophets and apostles. I love and testify that the book of mormon is a second testamant of Jesus Christ. I read it daily.

How I live my faith

Serving in this church has provided many hours of learning and enjoyment. Working in the Boy Scouts and completing Woodbadge training was a highlight of serving with the young men as a scout and cub scout leader. I am very proud that my son attained the rank of an Eagle scout.
