Hi I'm Megan

I'm a small town girl, an aunt, a college student, a novice artist, decorator, obsessive reader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest out of 5 children, and the only girl! My family life is great. I have two loving parents,3 older brothers, and a heavenly sister. My mom lost a baby girl almost exactly a year before I was born, my parents say I'm a miracle. I'm glad that I have this chance to be on this Earth at this time. I love reading books, but I'm kind of a weird reader I get all excited about reading books and read every chance I get, then I get sidetracked and it's an ongoing process. The only book I read on a day to day basis is the Book of Mormon. I love school, and am excited to graduate so I can pursue a career in college. I'm a happy, bubbly, girl and can be shy at times, but I love meeting new people and learning about them and what makes them unique.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's what I believe. It's entirely who I am as well. In my mind it helps me become who I want to be. I've realized if I pray everyday, read the scriptures, and do the best I can do, I am blessed. Just the other day I decided to pray to pass my driving test and I read scriptures to help me, and I came across one that said,"God can do everything." It helped me so much because it's what I have to do here on this Earth to become like our Heavenly Father. Family is way important to me, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the best for families, there is special powers in the temple that can bind families together for eternity, and I know that is true! I want my family to be with me forever, and I know that being a part of this church and following my commandments will get me there! I'm also a member because of all the good people and there examples, no not everyone is perfect, but to see people try to be better and to overcome an obstacle it's amazing. It's amazing to become better people and we are doing it through Christ's example.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a Laurel,a group in Young Women's ages 16-18, in my ward. I love it! It's nice to be one of the oldest in Young Womens, but with it comes a lot of responsiblity. It's definitely taught me to act more like the Savior, in how I act, and talk, so I can be a good example for the younger girls. I like to think of the Savior and the Atonement on a day to day basis. One time my brother told me, "Think of thing's in an eternal perspective." It really works, you realize there is something out there bigger than us, and it's the whole Plan of Happiness.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Megan
We can come to know our Father in Heaven by praying to him. Even when it's the hardest to pray we need to do it, so we can have the relationship we wish to have with him. By hearing other people's testimony it makes ours grow stronger. If you seek for companionship of Heavenly Father you will get it. You need to have a real intent to want a relationship with him, He will surely be there for you. Just try your best at this life, and in everything give thanks to Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
