Hi I'm Emma Atwood

I am known. I am loved. God knows me and loves me and He loves you too. I am His child.

About Me

I try to live the best life I can. I'm so far from perfect, but my goal is to come closer to God every day. I know that the talents I have are from Him, and so I work to develop them so I can use them to build His kingdom and bring others to Christ. I love art. Love, love, love it. I'm one of those weird people who can sit in front of a painting for hours. Growing up I really enjoyed reading, but I don't spend as much time reading for fun these days. I work as a live-in tutor and it is one of the greatest adventures of my life thus far. Soccer is my sport, playing, watching, talking about etc... I sing, and love to greet the day with a song, seeking joy always.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of the peace and love I feel. As I read my scriptures I find answers to the questions of my soul, especially in the Book of Mormon. As I pray I am able to feel peace and comfort, and become more aware of God's hands working around me in my life. As I attend church I am reminded of my potential and who God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a teacher for the women in my ward. And I love to teach, so it is the perfect spot for me. I also attend a religion class every Friday night with other young adults, to learn more about Jesus Christ and grow closer to Him. But I live my faith every day by reading my scriptures, praying and doing my best to act the way Christ did here on Earth. In my own personal way, I strive to be like my Savior.

What is being a Mormon like?

Emma Atwood
Being a mormon is living life by faith. It is doing your best, knowing Jesus Christ will make up the difference between where you can reach and perfection. It is finding joy in the simplest things knowing that life is about those simple moments. It is doing all you can to be the best you can because you understand why we are here on earth. And it is peace. As everything is hectic and crazy it is turning to the scriptures and to our Heavenly Father through prayer, to find quiet inspiration. Show more Show less
