Hi I'm Cameron

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I play volleyball and love learning. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary in Korea! Before coming here I studied physics for a year and plan to continue when i return home. I'm way into volleyball and am down to play anytime and love playing basketball with my friends. Besides that I love spending time with my family, especially going wake-boarding with my dad and brother on the weekends.

Why I am a Mormon

One thing that really stands out to me is the doctrine of eternal families. I love my family and couldn't imagine life without them. Knowing that my family can truly be together forever through the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me strength to face the normal trials of life and of growing up. My family has helped me to strengthen my relationship with God. I know through prayer I can commune with him and that he hears and answers my prayers. We are not alone, no matter how much we may feel that no one knows us and that no one can know what we are going through. He is there, and I know He will answer your prayers just like He has answered mine. I feel the truth of His church as I pray to Him, and as I study His words in the Bible and Book of Mormon. I feel of His Spirit and Love as I attend His true church, both by myself and with my family.

How I live my faith

I have the awesome opportunity to serve others as a missionary in the wonderful land of Korea! We get to meet all sorts of people and share this wonderful message of our Lord and Savior with people everyday. One of my favorite parts of the day however is the time I have each morning to personally study the scriptures, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Their words lift and inspire me each morning to continue to serve and lift others around me. Meeting with both members of our church and those who are not has been such a great privilege. I love learning about other's faiths and to see the hand of God in their lives and know that He is there in all of our lives as well. But my favorite part is to share the message we have and to see people healed and changed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Cameron
The Bible is the word of God! I love reading the Bible, especially the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the New Testament Gospels. The Bible is such a precious gift that God has given to all mankind. It testifies of Jesus as the Christ and is united in its purpose with the Book of Mormon in teaching the true and full gospel of Jesus Christ. Together they teach and testify what we must know and do in order to have a peaceful and happy life, full of joy. Together they testify of what we must do here in this life to live with our families and with our Eternal Father in heaven for eternity. The Bible has and continues to bless the life of every member of our church as well as members of many other churches. I am grateful to God that He has blessed us with scripture and has given us His word. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Cameron
Yes!! Knowing this gives me hope for my life here and for the next life. I couldn't imagine a world where I wouldn't be able to see my family. I can't explain the joy my family gives to me here on earth. I know that families can be together forever through God's plan of happiness for families and that all who will follow this plan will be with their families forever. They will live together in joy and happiness, dwelling in the presence of God. Show more Show less
