Hi I'm Joel Adams

I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I am a classical pianist, singer, and songwriter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father. My wife and I have one son. I am currently a student at BYU-Idaho, majoring in exercise physiology with the objective of gaining acceptance to medical school in a year. I spend most of my free time either playing classical piano, or creating music of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to keep my faith when I was challenged with doubts as a teenager because I recognized that all my happiest days coincided with living correct principles taught by the church like service, paying tithing, temple service, and repentance. I read the book of Mormon by age thirteen and prayed to God to know if it is indeed his word, and I received a witness while reflecting on the impression the book of Mormon had made upon me. The amazing thing is I have been able to experience the assurance that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church in many other ways since I received my first answer. It is true. Joseph Smith was visited by The Lord, and we are led by Thomas S. Monson, the prophet today.

How I live my faith

To me my membership in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means that I have a duty to live as an example to others of Jesus Christ. I meet that obligation by constantly re-evaluating my life and my direction. I seek to make steps every day to come just a little bit closer to God, by prayer, scripture study, and working to serve others by being a little kinder each day.
