Hi I'm Robert Blotter

I moved to the upper peninsula of Michigan over 13 years ago after serving in the Navy as an Orthopedic Surgeon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and enjoy working with the Boy Scouts. I enjoy keeping fit and participating in Triathlons for a challenge. I am a mediocre gardener who tries but loses to the weeds most years. I enjoy my job working with people as an Orthopedic Surgeon. It gives me great satisfaction to see someone broken healed and return to those things they love. I could not imagine myself doing anything else. I love a funny story especially when I was involved. I am the Father of six children, three boys and three girls. They are as different as night and day, but all are fun to be with and bring joy to my life. I am a husband to the same wife for almost 30 years and she is what makes me want to be better and is my favorite traveling companion. Life is always more fun when I am with her.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Church over 50 years ago. My parents were Utah Mormons who moved to the midwest for employment and were fine examples of disciples of Christ to me and my brothers and sister. They taught me more by their examples and caring of others then anything they ever said. My belief in the Church started to really blossom in my teenage years when I was forced to decide whether to follow my peers or accept the faith of my father. My testimony of the Mormon church has grown steadily since and now gives my life purpose and meaning.

How I live my faith

I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is participation sport. I show my faith by serving and helping others. Only when I am in the service of my fellow men am I in the service of my God. I have had the opportunity to work with the young men in my church and help them develop their beliefs and grow into men.
