Hi I'm Warner

I have four brothers. I fix things. I like robots. I'm homeschooled. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have always enjoyed exploring and figuring out how electrical devices work. Building robots and fixing broken devices is my main hobby. Many of my projects I have entered into my state's science fair. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school, along with my four younger brothers. I was a delegate to the National Youth Science Camp. I will attend Brigham Young University when I return from my 2 year mission in Wellington, New Zealand.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and a lot of my extended family are members of the church, so I grew up in that environment. I have prayed and studied the scriptures, and I believe this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have a testimony that it was restored through Joseph Smith in these latter days. I also know that the Prophet, apostles and other church leaders are called of God. I know that the Atonement is real and that Jesus died for me, and for all of us.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every Sunday. Our family regularly (almost every day) studies from the scriptures and prays together. We have been reading through the entire Bible, and read the Book of Mormon every Sunday. I attended early morning seminary classes, along with other youth from my area, through my four years of high school, where I learned about the scriptures in greater detail. I enjoy going to youth activities, like dances, games, service projects, and conferences. There I can have fun interacting with others near my age in a good setting. I have also enjoyed indexing for FamilySearch, where I read old documents and digitize the data on them so they can be made searchable. I am serving a two year mission where I serve and teach others.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

We will talk about anything you want, but we would love to focus on the wonderful gift of the Atonement that Jesus Christ has given us. As a missionary myself, I enjoy talking and bonding with the people I meet. I like learning about others, their family and hobbies. It hurts to see a great family growing up without any knowledge of their purpose in life, or of the wonderful plan of salvation. Of course we don't want to force anything on someone, as it wouldn't benefit the person. We're friendly! Be open and ask us anything. We will listen. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Definitely not! I am enjoying my service as a missionary as I am helping plenty of people in need, regardless of their religious beliefs. Before my mission, my local congregation and I helped clean up after the flooding and wreckage left over from hurricanes Katrina, Isaac, and others. It feels great after helping someone in need. Helping others makes me forget about my own problems, and bond with the (often) complete strangers I'm assisting. Being a missionary is the best, as I can help others full time. Show more Show less
