Hi I'm Allison

I'm a daughter. I'm a friend. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a medical student (crazy!). We have two beautiful kids. Our daughter is two and our son is six months. We have moved across the country from our families and are relying completely on each other and other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love doing puzzles and taking pictures of my kids...and anything else!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home where our church was very important. My parents made it a huge deal to teach us the standards and values of the church. They were very understanding of questions we would have and helped us to learn how to study the scriptures and find answers by doing that and praying. While writing a letter to a friend I shared what I believed to be true. As I was writing I had the moats amazing feeling come over me. I started to cry and at that moment I knew, not just believed, but I knew this Church was true. God does live and he does love me and this Church is here for that those reasons. I know that families are forever, and I want that for my family. I can't imagine life without my husband or my kids. I know our Prophet receives counsels from the Lord. I will follow our prophet because I do know that what he teaches comes from our Lord. I know Joseph Smith restored the Gospel and he did see God and Christ. I know the Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets. And it is true. I love this Gospel. And I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love to meet people from all over who share my beliefs! In each new ward I am in, I make connections with people and find amazing new friends! I love the youth. I have worked with the young women, ages 12-18, and love their enthusiasm and spunk! They are so excited to share what they believe and love and they teach me to share it as well! I used to play the piano for the children. The songs the kids sing are beautiful. I sing them as lullabys to my kids. Sometimes in the car or just around the house I hear my two year old singing the songs. She learns more through our music than through my words!
