Hi I'm Cleve

I grew up in San Francisco, where I attended Catholic school. I was baptized in a Korean Baptist church at 9 yrs old.

About Me

I am a convert since 2008. My Father is Black and my Mother is Korean. My wife is from the Philippines. I was cynical and skeptical about the church. I spoke with missionaries for a period of 8 years. I learned to fast. I learned to pray. My family and I have been blessed tremendously by the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to Catholic school in San Francisco. I was baptized in a Korean Baptist church at 9 years old. I stopped going to church for a long time, but I always prayed. After attending various churches and speaking with various missionaries, I learned to fast. I had many reasons to be cynical and skeptical of the Mormon church and I was given an answer to my prayers. My life has significantly changed for the better. It's been 5 years and the Holy Spirit is strong in my life. Sometimes I cry, realizing how important what has been revealed to me is. This has affected my family and friends tremendously. I have had many adversities in my life growing up in Oakland, California, and I have learned to use them as wisdom and strength. Life has so much more meaning. Who would have imagined my wife and I would be teachers in the Mormon church?! I am extremely grateful for the relationship I have with my heavenly Father. I have faith in the Bible as well as the book of Mormon. This is a true blessing within itself.

How I live my faith

I continue to stay active in the church. I pray with my family. I bear my testimony often. I am highly enthusiastic about all that I have been learning. I served as a Sunday school teacher to 11 and 12 year old girls teaching the old testament. I currently teach with my peers. I bring my kids with me to serve the needy. We attend church and read scriptures. We share are blessings and know we are an example. We attend the temple.
