Hi I'm Joshua Spencer

I like to go running and being outdoors. I am currently serving in the West Virginia Charleston Mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary currently serving a mission in the West Virginia Charleston Mission. After High School I worked in a sign shop where I made street signs, road signs, and constructions signs. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends. I also really enjoy the outdoors, running, biking, and just being outside. I love to go camping. I have been backpacking in the Wind Rivers and in the Yellowstone. I also love Disneyland! That place is so much fun! Some of my hobbies are photography, cinematography, and creating digital art, even though I am not too good at it. I have an amazing family that I love very much. They are my support and my guide. Because of my family I have been able to enjoy some of the sweetest blessings that come from living the Gospel of Christ. I love them SO much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my savior Jesus Christ. He brings me peace, happiness, and joy. He is my best friend. He is everything to me. He helps me everyday. I was born into the church, but I think that even members born into the church need to have a "conversion." When I was 17 I went on a Trek. The Stake I am in organized a big trip and took all of the youth, organized us into families with people we didn't know, and had us push a handcart 40+ miles. During the three days of this activity, I was changed. The year previous, I had gone inactive from church. It was the hardest time in my life, but after trek, my heart was changed. I felt the love of Christ. I felt the spirit so strong during this trek. I knew that I could feel those same feelings when I went back to church, and I did. My life has been infinitely better ever since I became truly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I LOVE IT! Since then I have continued all I can to deepen my conversion and stay on the path back to my Father in Heaven. I know that The Book of Mormon is a book from God, it contains the fullness of the gospel, as does the bible. Those who read it and pray about it, sincerely, will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity. I know this because I have done it. Every time I pick it up and read it, or look at it, or think of it, I feel the power of the Holy Ghost confirm to me that it is TRUE!

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary and I LOVE IT! I attended missionary preparation every Sunday along with my other church meetings. I love it! I am also a home teacher to two amazing families. I love that to. I love to interact with my fellow church members and help them out all that I can. My friends and I would get together on the weekends and study from the Book of Mormon, The Bible, and the other Standard works. We did this in preparation for serving the Lord through a full-time mission. The blessing that have come from studying the scriptures are amazing. My testimony of Jesus Christ has increased a lot and I know him to be my Savior.
