Hi I'm Mitch

I am one of eight children and married to my wonderful companion and have seven children of our own. Family is important

About Me

I am a husband and father. My family is blended with three wonderful step children and my own four wonderful biological children. They range in ages from 14 to 6 which keeps my wife and I very busy. We love to camp and spend time BBQ whenever we can. I love to spend time on with my wife whenever we can steel time to get away. I love to golf, fish, hike, play racquet ball, and hunt when I can. I graduated with a Master’s in Education and work as a Consultant for a private medical company. I have had many carriers in my past I was a Parole Officer and Juvenile Counselor for at risk youth, and a child welfare investigator. I have several dreams that I hope to accomplish someday. I would like to go skydiving, visit the ruins in South America, travel with my wife and serve a fulltime church mission with her when the kids leave the nest. All in all I am a very simple man. My family is the most important thing to me. Sometimes when I am with them and when everyone is happy and I take a step back I see the love between the kids I understand how blessed I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and asked God personally is this his church hear on the earth? Are the things I have been taught all my life true? Did Christ come to the earth and did he die for me? I have felt his everlasting love and confirmation that yes this is his church and Christ is my savior and what I have been taught is true. There have been several times in my life that I have received these confirming answers from our Father in Heaven. One such experience was when I received a blessing from one who holds the priesthood of God here on the earth. During this blessing I felt the love of my Father in Heaven and peace that he was aware of me and knew who I was and what I needed at that time. I also feel this same love and understanding when I read the Book of Mormon. The testimony of Christ and Gods hand in our lives fills me with a peace each time I read this book of scripture. There have been times when I am reading that the words contained there feel as though they have been written just for me and bring me peace that nothing else can. I know that my Savior lives and he died for me and this is his Church here on the earth. I have found more happiness in my life when I live and the gospel. This same feeling is present when I read the words of his profits today that lead and guide the church. This is why I am a Mormon I know God leads and guides the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). I have had a personal witness of this and know Christ leads and guides this work. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I attend church with my wife and seven children every Sunday. I enjoy my time there because it gives me a chance to learn more about Christ's plan and my role in it. Every day my family and I spend time reading the scriptures together before we end the day. These have been great experiences for me as a father. My children ask question about what they are reading and about Christ's plan for us here in this life. I get to teach them about the Savior and what he has done for us. These moments are times when I feel the Lords sprit in our home the most and I often get the chance to share my testimony of the Savior and what he has done for us his children. I served a fulltime mission for the church when I was 19 in Kentucky and hope to serve a mission with my wife when we are retired. I currently serve as a Cub Master and love to spend time with the boys watching them get excited about everything. I also have the opportunity to home teach other families in the church visiting them at least once a month and helping them when they need me.
