Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a husband. I'm a computer nerd. I love Ultimate Frisbee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Upstate New York. I served a two year LDS mission sharing the gospel in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Mission. I am married to my beautiful wife. I graduated from Brigham Young University and now work for the DoD. I am a soon to be father with my first baby boy. I love to play Ultimate Frisbee and learn about computers/technology in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am the second youngest of five boys. When I was a teenager and actually thinking about the LDS church I belong to I automatically looked toward my older siblings for direction. I saw them be active in the church and how happy they were. On the other hand I saw others that hand a rough time and struggled to find happiness. The examples of my brothers started me on the right path. When it came to my personal conversion, I had the special opportunity to live in the same area that the prophet Joseph Smith grew up in. The youth of my church went to the temple in Palmyra, New York. After being in the temple we went out to a grove of trees. This area is called the sacred grove because it is where Joseph Smith in 1820 prayed to know which church was right. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to tell Joseph to join none of the churches. It was the beginning of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints. I was my opportunity to kneel down on my knees and pray to my God to know if the church I was living was his true church. It was at that time that I felt the overwhelming goodness of God. I felt the Holy Spirit confirming what I knew what right. That is the earliest time in my life that I can remember feeling the Holy Ghost. I can still feel that same spirit in my life today to reaffirm the truthfulness of his church today. I am a proud member of this church and it has brought me more happiness than I could of ever imagined possible. I know I am a child of God and he loves me. He has provided a church with living prophets and apostles, books of scripture, and personal answers to my prayers. I testify that this is God's church upon the earth today and if you will pray to know if it is true he will answer your prayers. You will receive an answer and you can know the truth for yourself.

How I live my faith

I love to share the gospel with my friends and encourage others to do so also. I often meet with the missionaries to help them teach others about the church. I teach a Sunday school class to new members of the church and people investigating the LDS church. I don't swear or the take the Lord's name in vain. I try to make where I live and work a good atmosphere. I try to be a good husband and treat my wife with the love and respect she deserves.
