Hi I'm Ayaka

I'm currently a missionary in Canada. I'm a Japanese. I love music, fashion, eating, and traveling! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Miyazaki, Japan. I come from a family of 5, have an older and a younger brothers, and wonderful parents. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends traveling, finding good restaurants and shopping :) I also love watching movies and listening to music. I play the violin a little. I've always liked English and Western culture, so I went to Provo Utah to study English after graduating high school for 10 months. After that I went back to Japan, and worked as a dental assistant for a year to save some money and went to Sydney Australia for a year. I loved it there so much!! I got lots of awesome friends in all over the world by traveling around, and I love it!! It's amazing that wherever you are the Gospel is the same and it brings us closer together :) Right now I'm in Edmonton Canada as a missionary. I'm enjoying sharing the gospel with the people in Canada!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church but it got really difficult as I got older since I was always the only church member in my school. I never really doubted about the gospel or anything but didn't have a strong testimony to stay strong as a member of the church. I started to live the way I shouldn't have, even though I knew I was making wrong choices. When I was in Australia, I had a wonderful opportunity to get to know awesome missionaries and they helped me change. I started to wish to have a strong testimony like they did. I decided to read the book of Mormon cover to cover for the first time. I started to feel the Spirit very strongly as I read the scriptures everyday. I prayed and asked Heavenly Father to know the truth, and I received a personal witness that it was true. I am a Mormon because I know it is the truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me and my family so much happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become more like my savior Jesus Christ, by trying to be nice to others and serving others. I'm so so far away from perfect, but I'm trying to be a better person everyday :) Right now I live my faith by serving a mission, and it's been great!
