Hi I'm Stevi

I'm a graduate and former cheerleader of BYU. I work in advertising. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sports fanatic, who grew up on the sidelines. I may have all sisters, but game day at my house was no joking matter. I graduated from BYU in 3 years, and was on the coed cheerleading squad the whole time. I graduated in Communications with an Advertising Emphasis. I currently work at an advertising agency and love every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is hard, plain and simple. I'm not going to sugar coat it, there have been times in my life that I didn't know what I did to deserve the trials I was going through. However, with the help of the Lord, the Gospel, and my family I got through those times and realized that the lessons I learned and the person I became because of these trials far outweighed the negatives of them. That is why I am a Mormon. It gives purpose to my life, and helps me understand why things happen and helps me get through them. I honestly don't know how I could get through some days if I didn't have the knowledge of the reason I am here, and the amazing things that are in store for me. It also gives me a built in support system of people who are striving to get through life, just like me, and they love me- mistakes and all. I am far from perfect, I know that. I need all the help I can get, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I think a big part of faith is understanding the examples that people are setting for you, and the example that you are setting for others. I think it's important to realize that even though you may not think you are cool, someone, somewhere, does and is looking up to you. This gives you a huge opportunity to show others how great life can be, when you are doing what is right. In my life personally I have had hundreds, if not thousands, of people placed in my path that have given the examples I have needed to gain more faith in the Lord and my purpose here on earth. Another huge part of faith for me is faith in the Lord's timing. Honestly, I am not very good at being patient. Waiting for something you want, especially something you want and know is good, is hard. I do believe though that the Lord gives you these things when you are ready. There has not been a time in my life where I haven't looked back and realized that I got the things I wanted, when I needed them most. So if you are wanting and praying for something, just know that the Lord is hearing your prayers, and boy does he something amazing in store for you. I know it's true.
