Hi I'm Kristen

I'm a Child Life Specialist, a Cosmetologist and a fun-loving person that seeks after the joys of life! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I make myself one busy bee! It is hard for me to sit down for too long because I enjoy being out and about doing many things such as: being with friends or family out on the town; cooking/baking the newest recipe that sounds fun to me; seeing the beauties of the world whether by biking, hiking, going on walks, etc.; challenging myself with a home craft type of project (I'm not crafty, so it is a challenge); cheering on my favorite sports team; and I absolutely love to travel all over the world. I'm currently a Child Life Specialist and I also do hair on the side. After being born and raised in AZ, it was time for me to take off on my own journey of life. The places and experiences I've had, have blessed me and developed me into the person I am. My friends and family have definitely helped me along the way, yet what has helped me the most is my faith in God and having the blessings of being part of the full gospel, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in my life. It brings me wholeness, happiness, strength and wisdom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with the gospel in my life, and have always felt it was true. At a young age, I fed off of my parents and family's testimonies, as mine continued to develop. I have now read the Book of Mormon multiple times and have had many experiences that have testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I've had many times in life where I haven't mentioned anything to anyone, but while receiving a priesthood blessing those things have been mentioned and have given me direction of what to do. I have had many spiritual experiences in life that have made it impossible to doubt what I know. The gospel brings me light and direction and brings me much happiness in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not by just attending church on Sundays, but also try through my actions and deeds. I am far from perfect, yet try to make myself better each day. Church on Sunday each week is always a nice refresher, yet it's important to keep up with prayer and reading my scriptures on a daily basis. It helps to give me strength in life experiences. I am very involved in my ward/church. Most recently, I had the opportunity to serve the women in our ward by fellowshipping them, providing opportunities for spiritual growth, preparing different activities for them to attend to improve talents and enrich their lives, as well as encouraging building unity. This year I took on the challenge to be a county delegate. It has been a great opportunity for me to better serve my community and help support those that I feel will continue in making our community a better place to live.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There have been times in my life where only God has known certain things. He has sent people in my path to say the right things or show up at the right time. I have asked him for things that only I know and through blessings given by worthy men of the priesthood, God has told me answers to those things I have not shared. There is a loving Father in Heaven who is very aware of us and our needs. He watches out for us and gives us the answers we need if we go to him. Show more Show less
