Hi I'm Becca Evans

I am an English nerd. I love reading and spending time with family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Texas. I am the youngest of four children, and I have two nieces and one nephew that I completely adore. I studied at BYU to become an English teacher, but have taken 18 months away from school and family to serve as a missionary in California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the examples of so many great people, including several very persistent missionaries. They taught me about different parts of the Church and encouraged me to read the Book of Mormon. I never expected to join the Church, but when I sat down and gave the Book of Mormon a chance I felt a peace and a happiness that I had never felt before. Up until that moment I didn't realize that a huge part of my life was incomplete. For the first time I saw how much I needed my Heavenly Father and my Savior. This Church is the reason that I now have a relationship with God, it is how I know that He hears my prayers, it is how I know He loves me. This Church is also the reason that I know what Jesus Christ did for me. I know that Christ suffered and died so that all of us could be forgiven for our mistakes and so that we could return and live with God again. This truly is a gospel that will bring light and happiness to all that are open to it. It has blessed my life in more ways than I could ever describe and I am so grateful for it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow the pattern of Jesus Christ outlined in the scriptures. I try to keep a positive attitude and help others when I notice they are struggling. I love serving in my church, especially teaching my Sunday school class for eight and nine year olds and offering help to youth leaders as they prepare for camps and other activities. I love helping the people in my community and the people I attend church with because it helps me build relationships and think less about myself and more about others.
