Hi I'm Bailey Hall

I am a nerd, I love to ski, and being outdoors. I am a Mormon!

About Me

The first thing to know about me is that I love to read, watch movies, and play some video games. I worked at a LDS girls camp where my name was Dobby and my task was to share my testimony with twelve and thirteen year old girls, it was the best experience ever! Skiing is one of my favorite things to do and I love snow more than just about everything else. I love being outdoors! If I could spend all of my time doing outdoor activities than I would be content. There is nothing more relaxing to me then sitting around a campfire and having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into an LDS family I had to find out for myself if what I had been taught since birth was true. My first LDS girls camp, the one that I have worked at, was the answer. At this point, being twelve, I was starting to question the things that I had learned, but one experience silenced those questions. At this camp in the mountains moose are everywhere. Knowing nothing about moose I was terrified. One evening, after a moose sighting, I was walking on a short trail back to my group when the thought hit me that the moose was going to charge me and kill me. A little naive but great things have small beginnings. I said a quick prayer that I would be safe, when I had finished my simple prayer I had peace come over me and I knew that Heavenly Father loved me and wouldn't let anything happen to me. Working at this camp has helped my testimony even more. I love this gospel and it has gotten me through the darkest times in my life. I have also found that along with these simple experiences, the Book of Mormon truly nurtured and grew my testimony. The Book of Mormon is a book that will change your life and bring you closer to Jesus Christ than any other book. I have an undying testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ which came through the Book of Mormon. I have so many little experiences, just like the moose, that have all come together to help build my testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ! A testimony of the Gospel rarely, if ever, comes through a miraculous vision or seeing our Savior; a testimony is gained through those small and simple experiences where you have no doubt the the Lord had a hand in your life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person that I can be, obviously I am not perfect but I strive to be the best I can. Being a counselor to twelve and thirteen year old girls is fun but can be challenging. They look up to you and strive to be like you. Being an example to these girls has made it possible for me to re-evaluate how I act and check if everything that I do is in harmony with what I believe. Having done this for a couple summers, the habit continues to this day and hopefully forever, you never know who is watching your actions. I daily strive to live and act in the ways that Christ did. He is the ultimate example of how we should act and treat our fellow men. Living my faith is an everyday, 24 hour thing. If I truly believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and everything that I have learned is true, than I have to act according to that knowledge. When we now our true relationship with our Savior we will act differently!
