Hi I'm Mckell

I am a crazy cat lady. I love camping and reading. My favorite food is raspberry pie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all animals, especially cats. I have 3 of them, and i'm definitely a crazy cat lady. I love being outside. I love to camp with my family, go on hikes, and swim. I'm a military brat, and love to travel and go on adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I began to read the Book of Mormon when I first learned to read. I always feel different when I read it. I feel calm, warm, and fuzzy. One Sunday night, back when I was 6 years old, my family and I were staying with my grandparents in their home. My sister and I were sharing a bed in the basement, and it was super cold that night. Being raised in the church, I had been taught that I should pray every morning and every night before I went to bed. But this night, I had forgot to pray before I climbed into bed. I dreaded the thought of leaving my warm blankets, but I eventually dragged my self out from under the covers, and knelt on the floor beside the bed. I began my prayer and a thought came to my mind. My sunday school teacher in church that day had taught us about how Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. We just have to ask in faith. Personally, I wanted to know if the Book of Mormon was true. So I simply asked, "Heavenly Father, Is the Book of Mormon true?" Immediately, I felt this warmth spread through me, and I knew in my heart that it was true and that it is from God. Because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a real prophet of God, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and restored church on the earth at this time.

How I live my faith

I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I am currently serving a mission for the Church. My Schedule every day is to wake up, study the Bible and Book of Mormon, and then go out to try and find people who want to learn more about the Church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has made me so happy and I want to share that with everyone I can. I love serving people, and consider that a big part of how I live my faith.
