Hi I'm Alix

I grew up in Utah. I have just started college. I love animals. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love animals. I hope to someday run a rescue ranch for abandoned animals. I am going to college but I don't know what I want to major in yet. All I really want to do is be a stay at home mother, but I want to be able to help my husband if we come upon hard times. I love decorating a lot. I often have to totally rearrange my room at least once a month simply for the fun of moving everything. I love reading as well. Nothing is better than reading a book that just sucks you in. I have a lot to learn about myself, and I still have a lot of growing up to do, but at least one thing will always be the same, I will always be a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and for a long time I just did what my parents told me too, then as I got older, all my friends went to church so I did too. However in Jr High School I began wondering if the church was true, and I stopped going for a long while. It was my mom who came to me and said that if I decided that the church wasn't true there would be know judgment from her. She would still love me just as much... But there was a catch, I had to investigate the church on my own. For a few more years I still struggled. But recently I began truly investigating it again and now I know (yes I know, me, not based off anyone else) the Church is true. The Prophets speak the word of God, and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. Since I have gained my own testimony, I have felt at peace for the first time since I was a small child... Sometimes it's best to just read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and simply Ask if our gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday, going to family home evening with my ward every monday, doing family home evening with my fiance every tuesday and institute (church class) every wednesday. I also pray and read my scriptures daily. It seems like a lot of time to give on paper, but I know from experience that when I faithfully do all these things everything falls into place. I just barely moved to college, so I don't have a calling within my church yet, but I am excited to get one. When I have a calling, even when I am very busy, I get a sense of fulfillment giving one hundred percent.
