Hi I'm B

Give me mountains to climb, rivers to cross. Give me, something that's going to make me better than I was. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I find joy in the simple things. I enjoy the outdoors, swimming, snowboarding, and many other sports. I hope to one day have a beautiful family of my own just like the one I have now. I am who I am which is who Heavenly Father has molded me to be. I know I'm far from perfect but I try every day to become better. I'm a Utah boy through and through. I am currently serving the Lord Jesus Christ in proclaiming his Gospel in the Colorado Springs Mission. I put all faith and trust in the Lord, and I'll do what he wants me to do and go where he wants me to go. #alliswellinzion

Why I am a Mormon

Well I have been a Mormon my whole life. My family is of this faith and so is a large portion of my neighbors. I guess for a long period of time it was a cultural thing for me. Everyone I know and love have the same beliefs and values that I do so I fit in and thought it was normal. But as the years have gone by I realized that other people surrounding me (school and some friends) are not as happy as I am. This really bothered me because happiness is everything to me. If I'm not happy then something has to change, bottom line. So I guess I wanted to be able to teach others how living the gospel of Jesus Christ has made me happier, and has brought more peace to my life. So I took teaching others around me to heart and I started learning as much as I possibly could about my church and what we believe in. Through this choice to learn as much as I can, it has brought so many trials and blessings to my life that I have become a stronger person because of this choice. I know that what I believe in is truth, I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. We can communicate to him through prayer and I know for a fact that he hears and answers me through the promptings and feelings I receive from the Holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon betters lives and that through reading it you can come to know more of our Brother, Redeemer, and Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

One thing that's always been a big part of my life is being a good example. Being an example is the best way to lead, and I have a strong testimony of that. It makes me think of Christ and the type of person that he was. He wasn't a malicious dictator, he didn't speak with eloquence begging and pleading people to follow and believe in him, he taught by parables and serving others. I hope to follow him more closely in my life by learning all that he did. Through reading stories and gaining an understanding of the type of person he was has really effected me on a deep level. I am grateful for having such a good example to look to. Christ is my savior, my redeemer, my brother, and my example.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is the basic unit within society. Our Heavenly Father has given us this opportunity to develop relationships with one another through families, he knows the strength that comes with families. Trials within this life can be extremely difficult to face on your own, but when you have a person to rely on and that will help you endure what you're going through it can make all the difference. I think that everyone can agree that some things in this life are just hard to do by yourself, with the help of loved ones you can push through these difficulties with zeal and hope for a better tomorrow.
