Hi I'm Denise

I live in the Midwest. I'm the mother of 5, married to a wonderful man. I love berry picking and baking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to get up early and get things done. Early morning is the best part of the day. I like to make make lists. I like to read blogs. They inspire me to do more-sewing, cooking, cleaning. I like to read about good things that other people are doing in their lives. I ride my bike and go snowshoeing with my friend. I shop at thrift shops. I am a substitute teacher. Some days are a challenge, but most days are great. I volunteer at my kids schools. I have found that it is a great way to get to know the teachers and the principals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church helps me to develop my relationship with Jesus Christ. The gospel helps me to understand my purpose and what I should be doing with my life here on Earth. I find peace in the teachings of the Bible and the Book of Mormon and I have learned through the gospel of Jesus Christ that I can pray and receive answers to my prayers. This has been a miracle in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by reading the scriptures and saying daily prayers. I serve in the Women's organization. I teach lessons in our Sunday meeting, help keep up the calendar of upcoming events and assist our president in any way that she needs my help. We have a small congregation, so sometimes I am asked to lead the singing in our worship service or share my testimony. I also had the opportunity to go to camp with the teenage girls in our area. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I strive to live so I can feel the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
