Hi I'm Chantel

I grew up in the Nevada desert. I love reading and rainy days. I hope to learn about photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Nevada and love to spend time with my family and friends. I love camping, boating, reading, and loved to play volleyball in high school. I also love taking pictures and one day hope to have a nice camera and learn more about photography. I graduated college recently and look forward to a life of learning. I have such great support in my family, friends, and church members.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and as such have always know on some level that this church is true. Since I was 16 I have known without a doubt in my mind that this is God's true church on the earth today. I have continued to progress in this belief as I have grown older and gone through different types of experiences. I know that Christ atoned for my sins and also for pain and suffering. I have felt this Atonement within my life through overwhelming feelings of peace and comfort. I hope to one day become a wife and a mother and I know that when I do that the gospel will help me to teach my children correct principles. I want to teach them to be good, moral people with a love for serving others. Above all, I want to teach them of their Savior Jesus Christ and how they can use His Atonement within their lives. I love the emphasis of families in the gospel and that families can be together forever. I know that this church is the same church that existed during Christ's life and that God restored it to the earth through Joseph Smith. I know that we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who teaches us and guides us according to God's will. I know these things and they have brought more happiness into my life that I can imagine. I know that it is through God's plan for us that we can be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily in my effort to follow Jesus Christ. I pray, read my scriptures, and look for areas of personal development. I try to follow Christ's example through serving others. I had many opportunities for service within my college education that were great growing experiences. I also serve within the church. I have been in several leadership positions and I always try to do my best and support other church members. I have led youth of similar ages, taught children Sunday lessons, and lead others in learning about family history and attending the temple. I am not a perfect person and fall short in many areas; however, I am constantly trying to become a better person as a result of my faith in Christ.
