What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a knowledge that you have come to know that jesus is the Christ and that you have a loving father in heaven. I have found my testimony as I share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those i meet. My testimony is that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, that the book of mormon is the word of god as is the bible, that Joseph Smith saw god the father and his son and that Thomas S. Monson is the lords prophet on the earth today. And if given the chance I would share it with all the world and declare I know that my redemer lives. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

we need a savior to help us become clean again so we can reture to live with our father in heaven. We all sin or in other words we all make wrong choices, because of this we become unclean and unworthy to live in gods presence. Through Jesus Christ we are able to be forgiven of our sins and become clean this is only possible if we repent and strive to live like Jesus and keep his commandments. How we repent is we confess we did worng to god and all other invalved. We then ask for forgiveness from god and all others invalved and we make right the damage we have done. then we promise never to do the sin again. Show more Show less
