Hi I'm Cole

I grew up in Woodland California. I'm a musician, a baseball enthusiast, and a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Especially baseball. I am a very passionate person who fully dives into every interest that I have or learn about! I attended Brigham Young University Idaho for two semesters before coming out on my mission here in the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission! I am a recent convert of about a year and a half. I have seen the gospel transform my life, and that is why I am out here to share the Book of Mormon and the fullness of truth with everyone that I meet! I have personally witnessed how this book can help us in our daily lives, especially as we seek to make changes and better ourselves! I love the Book of Mormon and this church!

Why I am a Mormon

This Church, this Gospel, has changed my life. When I was first taught by the missionaries, March 23rd of 2011, my life was at an extremely low point. I was living with a friend of mine and dealing with some heavy substance abuse issues. Dealing with these issues changed me. I lost friends and hurt family. My priorities and the things that were most important to me were lost in the struggle. I needed strength beyond my own ability. The missionaries had come over to teach my friend, and I was fortunate enough to be present. They bore their testimony to me about the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ. I was touched. I knew that there was power behind their words. I felt it strongly. Later on that evening I called them and asked them to come teach me. Again I felt the power behind their words, and read the Book of Mormon, feeling an even greater power. They shared with me a scripture which is now one of my favorites. Helaman 5:12. It talks about building on the foundation of Christ. That when we do so, and rely on the Lord, nothing can break us. Nothing can break our foundation. We cannot fall. I decided to put this verse to the test. I got down on my knees that night and said the most honest, sincere prayer I have ever uttered. I confessed to My Father in heaven that I could not do it anymore. My own strength had failed me. I had made choice after choice that led me down this path, and now I could not get out of this hole by myself. I asked, I begged him to help me. I instantly felt a comfort, a peace inside. Almost like I was wrapped up in a warm loving hug. I felt safe. The next couple weeks were a very difficult time for me. I was very sick. I experienced withdrawal symptoms. But I persevered. Through the strength of the Savior, Jesus Christ, I was able to quit my addictions. I am here to testify that this was through no power of my own, but through the power of my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am currently a full time missionary serving in the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission. I will be serving for two years out here, and it is an amazing opportunity! I get to talk to people everyday about what I know is true, and share my joy with them! For the entire two years my whole life will be dedicated to aligning my self with Christ, relying on the Holy Ghost, and helping others come unto Christ. I have already seen so many blessings in my life, my family's lives, and the lives of others, all stemming from this work. It is a wonderful time to be a missionary of the Lord! I know that as we keep the commandments, and stay true to the covenants that we make, we will be blessed beyond measure!
