Hi I'm Dallin

I'm a missionary. I'm an Oklahoma farm boy. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a country boy. My dad owns cattle and I've always enjoyed helping him and the rest of my family with the daily chores and activities that come with living on a farm. Some of my first memories include learning how to ride a horse or shoot a rifle. I love hunting, fishing, camping, or just about anything that gets me outside. I also love music. The past few years I've been trying to teach myself to play guitar. I really enjoy playing and singing when I have spare time or just when I need to relieve some stress. I live in a very small community. My graduating class in high school consisted of only 10 students including myself. I've been going to college since then majoring in mathematics, something that I've always been blessed to be able to understand easily. I'm really considering becoming an engineer. Right now I'm putting my education on hold to serve a mission in Baltmore, Maryland for two years. I am the fourth of eight children and by far one of my most favorite things to do is just spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life, but the reason I am a Mormon is because I know for myself that this is in fact the Church of Jesus Christ. He is at its head. I know that He is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that He came to this earth as the literal Son of God to take upon Himself the sins and pains of all mankind. I know that He was resurrected and that He lives today. I know that my Heavenly Father lives. Everyone who lives on the earth is a son or daughter of God and I know that He loves each and every one of us equally. I can feel His love for me when I keep His commandments and the standards of the church. It brings me peace and joy. I know that He loved us enough to make the fulness of the gospel available to us. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to the prophet Joseph Smith. The church was restored to the earth just as it was in the time of Jesus. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It testifies of the divinity of the Savior and teaches us of Him. I have studied the Book of Mormon and have felt the peace and power that come from that wonderful book. I have prayed to know the truthfulness of these things and have received a witness that these things are true. I know with all my heart that we have the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it draws us closer to Him and to our Heavenly Father. I know that through ordinances performed in the temple and through our obedience that families can be together for eternity. I love this gospel and the abundance of blessings that it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church in a small branch about fifteen miles from my home. Growing up, I was sometimes the only young man attending regularly. Since our sacrament meetings usually have a young man or young woman as one of the speakers, I was often called upon to speak. I count this as a huge blessing because I believe it has helped me to be more comfortable around people.
