Hi I'm Melissa Christensen

I grew up in Heber City. I have a Bachelors in Accounting. I'm the only girl in my family. I'm married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the only girl out of 4 kids and the second oldest. I got married in 2010 to my wonderful husband. I have a dog, and have a baby on the way. I love animals and can't picture life without animals in it. I love to sing and be with my family. One of my favorite things to do with my family is boating. I love to be outdoors and surrounded by the people I care about. In 2011 I graduated with my Bachelors in Accounting. I am looking forward to being a mom and bringing new life into this world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not always been a strong member of the LDS church. I became inactive for a while but have always held a special place in my heart for the LDS church. When I moved away for college it was a very different experience. I always tried to follow the teaching of my parents that Sunday was a sacred day and a day of rest. I had amazing roommates who were very faithful in the church and were amazing examples to me. One of my cousins always pushed me to be better and her example that she set for me was always unwavering. When I met my husband is when I really started to be active in the church again. He was a returned missionary and was very active in the church and in his callings. He was a great example and always found moments to teach me more about the gospel. Before we got married he had us set aside time to say prayers together and to really support each other so we could make it to the temple. He helped to strengthen my testimony in the gospel. The day we got married was the most amazing day! I felt the spirit stronger than I had ever felt it. I have a testimony in this gospel and the blessings and promises that it hold. I have a testimony that if I live righteously and follow his commandments that I may live with him again. And I truly believe that I will be married to my husband for eternity, that even when we pass on I will still be able to be with him because of the covenants I have made with our father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith in may different ways over the past few years. I have taught the youth ranging from 18 months to 9 years old. I have also taught a temple prep class to help those who are planning to go to the temple be better prepared. I am a visiting teacher and I participate in as many church functions as possible. I attend the meetings held on Sunday and love learning more about the gospel and Jesus Christ.
