Hi I'm James

I sing in A Cappella groups at my High School, and I love anything to do anything with water and sunshine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a sister and two brothers. My elder brother is serving a full time mission in Paris, France. My Mom's a teacher at a local elementary school, and my Dad works for a web video company. I love them very much and it is a huge blessing to have each and everyone of them in my family. I love pretty much of everything, music, movies, dolphins, food, theatre, beach, water, sailing, swimming, singing, friends, and volleyball. My strongest is passion is singing. At my school, I sing in a chamber choir, a Madrigal singing group, and a contemporary A Cappella group. I love to sing all styles of music, especially styles from artists like Michael Buble, Josh Groban, and Frank Sinatra. I love to hang out with my friends at parties, dances, activities, and camps.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it keeps me happy and I know that it will bring great rewards. I love the people I know in the church and I love to learn of the gospel. The Spirit touches my soul every time I am part of church meetings and seminary, I describe the gospel as like an everlasting bread, never growing old or moldy, but always being delicious and wonderful to take part of every time. There are things in this world that are very fascinating and interesting, but too much of it can sometimes get overdone and boring. This is never true with this church. There are always new things to learn and there are always things that need improving. I have noticed that when I have not payed attention to Priesthood Duties and other callings in the church, my life has not been wholesome and I've never been completely satisfied. I am a Mormon, I know it, I love it, and I live it.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday to prepare and partake of the sacrament and renew my baptismal covenants, to be a part of Sunday School, and spend time with my Priesthood Brethren. As part of my Priesthood Duty, I hometeach a family with small children and elderly woman in my ward with my companion. I attend seminary every morning before school. This is such a great blessing because I love learning with of the scriptures and being with my Mormon friends and my loving teachers before I go out intro the temptations of the world. It is a sacrifice to get up at 5:00am every morning before school, but I know that seminary can change lives. At home I study my scriptures with my family and by myself. I attend mutual activities with the Young Men and Young Women of my ward. At times we go to the Temple together and it is one of the most wonderful opportunities to have in my life.
