Hi I'm Davis

I'm a 21 year-old college kid who enjoys playing the cello, pizza buffets, and long weekends!

About Me

Since I was little my Mom has taught me to love music. Music is a big part of my family and part of who I am. I also love to read about world history and cultures. I enjoy going outdoors, eating lots of good food, and being with friends. I graduated from high school in 2011 and now I'm studying business at Brigham Young University. I took two years off of my studies to serve an LDS mission in Lima, Peru. Now, I dabble with the idea of one day becoming a dentist, philanthropist, and one day retiring to become a part-time archeologist.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith gives me a deep sense of purpose. No matter how hard it can get, God loves us. He has a detailed plan for us which he has and will continue to reveal to us through modern-day prophets. The Book of Mormon is an additional witness of the true word of God that can lead us to an even greater knowledge and understanding of our Savior and His Gospel. There is nothing that Jesus Christ does not want to forgive when we put our faith in him and repent fully and continually of our many daily, human mistakes and errors. Our Father knows that we will not be perfect, but as he sees you and I strive with all our hearts to love the Son and to be faithful to the commandments, he will stand by us and strengthen us, and he will light our path. This is the truth about why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Service is one thing that I strive to emulate in my life. It's not always an easy thing to look outside yourself and help others but what helps me be happy in life is when I take small and great opportunities to serve those in need. I've served a two-year mission to Peru and was able to see the living conditions of many who live one plate of food at a time. I have seen how sharing the gospel can give these people and many others a greater vision and perspective of the love, forgiveness, and healing that Jesus Christ offers. Today, as a returned missionary, I'm looking for ways to reach out beyond myself and the stresses of college life to touch the lives of those around me and a world away.
