Hi I'm Michael

I am from Albuquerque, NM. I am a CPA, a husband to an amazing wife, father of four beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the South Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico. After graduated from high school, I left home to attend Brigham Young University. After a semester there, I headed to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where I served a two year mission for the LDS Church. I returned to BYU after that, obtained a masters degree in accounting and married my beautiful wife. I enjoy running and playing basketball. My wife is my best friend and supporter and we have a blast hanging out together. My kids spice up life. They are full of energy and a constant source of entertainment. I am a CPA and love what I do for a career. I am happy to serve in my church in any way needed. My family is everything to me and for them I will always strive to be the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was raised as a Mormon and I saw the blessings it brought to my family, my parents and siblings. I continue to be a Mormon and raise my own children in this church because I know the principles we teach and live by will make us stronger and happier and capable of staying strong despite adversity and tribulation. It makes me happy to teach and learn the gospel together with my wife and children. It also brings me great satisfaction and joy to serve by sharing these teachings with others. I love the oneness that comes from being a member of this church and how everyone works together to help and lift up one an other. I know the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on this earth today. Understanding this gospel and living by it can help us to live a life full of purpose and meaning. Knowing what we need to accomplish during our time on this earth will make it possible for us to inherit all the blessings our Heavenly Father has to offer. As a Mormon, we are taught and understand the path we are to follow and given all the tools necessary to make this life journey a success.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to my family, friends, and neighbors. I have served in my church in various capacities. It brings me great joy to teach the gospel and share my faith building experiences to lift up and inspire others. I also have been on the receiving end of many faith building, inspiring and uplifting experiences shared to me by others. I believe this is what the gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. Encouraging and lifting up one another. Sharing each others burdens as well as joy and happiness. In very opportunity I have, in either a family visit, a teaching assignment or speaking in front of a congregation; I try to include the teachings of Christ and my own personal experiences about how his teachings have touched my life and helped me to be a better person. Focusing on Christ, his life, his teachings and most importantly his death, resurrection and atonement have helped me overcome and endure many of life's challenges and continues to give me hope for a wonderful life full of happiness and satisfaction.
