Hi I'm N Britt Thompson

I am mormon. Born and raised in NC around members of the church. I was converted in 7/27/1985.

About Me

Having been born to a part member family, my dad and his mothers family were members of the church. Grandma was Primary President and took me often to activities when I was staying with her. I had friends who invited me to participate in the youth sports program and at age 14 invited me to youth dances and activities for 14-18 yr olds. We were blessed with good and faithful Home Teachers who visited my dad and our family every month. After I went off to college our Home Teacher would mail me the message and check on how I was doing. During my first marriage, my wife suffered from endometriosis and I had lots of questions about why someone who wanted childred couldn't while others were having them out of wedlock and at will. My dad who was inactive all my life gave me his Book of Mormon one Sunday afternoon and I read it completely by Thursday of that week. I couldn't put it down and the Holy Ghost testified to me that it was true and Joseph Smith was a modern day prophet that restored the True Gospel to the Earth as Jesus Christ had established when HE was on the Earth. I testify that if anyone will read the Book of Mormon with real intent and pray about the truthfulness of the words within it's cover, they too will know it is TRUE. It is truly another Testament of Jesus Christ and will bring anyone closer to Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and the True Plan of Salvation as set in the beginning of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lords church restored to the earth with the fullness of HIS teachings so that we may return and live with him and have the opportunity to be like HIM.

How I live my faith

I serve as 2nd Counselor in the Young Mens Program and also Scout Master at this time. I have served in many callings through my 27 years of membership. I love working with the youth and watching them mature and prepare to serve missions and become eternal families by being worthy to marry in the Temple. I honor the sacred covenants I have made in the Temple and try to live to the best of my ability as Jesus lived. I try to help anyone and everyone in any way that I can. I try to show unconditional love and patience with my fellowmen/women when we may not see eye to eye on things. I always try to live in a way that the Holy Ghost can and will be my constant companion.
