Hi I'm Kendra

I was Born and Raised on the Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. I am a Office Assistant, Wife, Friend, and Mormon!

About Me

I love being a wife, & one day hope to be a Mother! I have one sister, who is my best friend. She has one son, & I love being his Aunt. Kids are so much fun! :-) I married my other best friend in June of 2009, for TIME & ALL ETERNITY. We are still SO IN LOVE. I know that's cliche, but we really are! We LOVE Traveling, & especially going on CRUISES together. We went to Hawaii on our Honeymoon, and it's probably my #1 favorite place I've ever been in my life! I really enjoy "Planning"-whether it's a wedding, event, saving money, or decorating a home. Luckily, my husband is a "do-er" so we make a great team! Country music is my favorite but I really like all kinds. I am a computer/internet fanatic-I love researching, facebooking, using pinterest, & many other things! :p One of my favorite things to do is go to Fairs & Festivals…the smells, the atmosphere, all remind me of being a kid & bring me so much happiness! My husband and I also really enjoy football season, & going to the games is a must! I went to a 4 year College to study Family & Consumer Sciences (Home Ec), & about 1/2 way through realized that schools were starting to do away with that program, in their systems. So I then went to another school to get my Cosmetology Degree. I did hair for a few years, & then found my true passion was in Administrative work. So for the past 8 years or so, I have been doing mostly Office/Executive Assisting work. I LOVE MY JOB & the people that I work with. I am truly blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are High School Sweethearts, so as I grew up, I was taught LOVE & FAMILY are EVERYTHING! SO, I would have to say one main reason I am is because I know that FAMILES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER! I believe that our Heavenly Father wouldn’t separate us from our loved ones, just because of death. I also know that we still have need for a Prophet on earth today, to lead & guide us, not just in ancient times. I too know, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God, to RESTORE Christ's Ancient Church, back to the Earth in these Latter Days. I believe in JESUS CHRIST, as my Savior & Redeemer, that through his Atonement for my Sins, I can be forgiven, & return to Live with Him, & my Heavenly Father. There are many other facets that I love & believe in (some small-some big). For example-I love that in our Religion no one gets paid. We hold other jobs/responsibilities in our day2day life, but volunteer our time & talents for our Faith & to Serve Others, just as Christ did when he was on the Earth. Others include-the organization/way it’s ran, self reliance, group activities, feeling welcomed by others in our faith-no matter where you go, similarly-that the church & teachings are always the same throughout the world. I honestly love so many things about my faith, & have been to many other Churches throughout my life, & know that I have a testimony that this is the One True Church on the Earth today, & am very grateful that I have a knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve in the church with the Young Women (ages 12-18). I LOVE being with these young girls, they are so much fun, and such a wonderful inspiration to me! We have activities one night a week, in which we all together will plan fun and educational things to do. I also will teach them a Sunday school lesson on Sunday, most of the subjects are about life lessons and values and traits that we should strive to have. In addition to being a leader in the Young Women program, I have “sisters” or other female members in our “ward” or local congregation, that I try and visit or hang out at least once a month. I will also volunteer to do Charity/Service projects, as they are needed throughout the Community. Sometimes, I help plan events, or cook for different activities with the church. I pray each day, for people that need blessings in their lives, our Military, our Country, etc. I try to be a good example to the people I come in contact with, and most importantly try to not judge others….for all of us sin, just differently!
