Hi I'm Skyler D. Worden

I love hunting, camping, creativity, music. I write stories.............. I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

Lived in Fallen Nevada for ten years, then moved to Roy Utah. I love going hunting and being out in the great outdoors. I write stories and love to see how it comes together. Nothing is better to listen to is country, rock and roll, and a few other genres are my favorite. but the best out of all is country. I have two sisters, one step sister, and three step brothers, two small families. I was converted at the age of twelve from seeing both sides of the world and to grow up quickly. Sixteen I became fully active and have more knowledge on the truth of the church. I'm serving in the Fort Worth Mission and loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

Seeing the world in two different views and how I could live my life. Seeing that one house hold was only controlled by drinking and smoking, with no true happiness to bring from it. to a home that follows Christian guidelines, growing stronger and closer as a family and always feeling true happiness within the home. Seeing those two worlds at the age of Twelve, I truly wanted that for myself and my family. My dad had the missionaries come over and teach me, which lead me to find the truth through prayer (sincerely, intently, and with true intentions) and pure study and also to being baptized. after that I lived within the two worlds still, each of them effecting me different ways. Once I hit Sixteen, I had to choose to be happy or follow a path I would never be happy with. So I chose the better world, leaving a home, family, and several other things behind. But I still have my falls and falters, I became fully active into the church and slowly became fully converted into the church more. Once I hit the age of Nineteen, I wanted to serve a mission. So that I could show the blessings that are waiting for everyone, if they will take the time and effort to truly study and pray with pure intentions. I know this is the true gospel and church, you just have to be humble and take the first step or you wouldn't be looking at this site, if you weren't ready at this time.

How I live my faith

At this moment, I'm a convert to the church serving a mission in Fort Worth Texas. I don't get paid, but I receive blessings as does my family. I go around sharing the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Letting others know that the true church is back on the earth once more. I answer questions, that most people have. Like "Why does everyone say Mormons aren't Christians?" Or "Why do you worship Joseph Smith?". My purpose and as well as other missionaries, we INVITE others to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and also increase your faith and knowledge. we will not force you to learn or be baptized. We only love and care for the ones we come in contact with and also everyone were around.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Skyler D. Worden
The Book of Mormon and The Bible aren't that different. except for where they are written. The Bible talks about gods dealings in Jerusalem, as the Book of Mormon talks about gods dealings in the Americas. they both are equal to each other, as you use them both together you see the bigger picture then using one or the other by itself. Joseph Smith found the golden plates, by a heavenly messenger which is actually the last prophet from the Book of Mormon named Moroni. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Skyler D. Worden
Before we go into a temple, we have to be baptized within the church. As well as being qualified and worthy to go into the temple. We prepare ourselves to become worthy. As for secrets, there are none. the things that happen in the temples are sacred and should remain that way. these sacred ordinances unite families together forever and also help us to return to live with god again. we cant share much on what goes on in the temple, but we do share that we do baptism for the dead. where we take the opportunity to be baptized for someone that has past on, which didn't have the opportunity when they were here on earth. What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Skyler D. Worden
The wonderful thing about tithing, it does not go to pay the leaders of the church. the money is to keep our temples clean, perfect, and beautiful. Even Chapels and other buildings. to keep them steady and staying up. the money also goes to people in need, the church is big on helping others. To help with Education, Missionary work, Family history, and so much more. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Skyler D. Worden
Yes, it is true. The Lord Jesus Christ appeared to the people in ancient america. After he visited his deciples, because he told them that "I have sheep that are not of this fold, which I need to visit. to make it so there is only on fold and one shepard." The Book of Mormon tells the wonderful experience of his visit in the Americas, which is truly incredible. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Skyler D. Worden
We dont worship a prophet, we heed their messages. Since Joseph Smith was called of God to be a prophet, we only see him as that a prophet. We show him respect for all he has done to bring back the truth and the true church. As we only worship God our Eternal Father in Heaven and our lord Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
